YENSA

Born and raised in Antigua and Barbuda, these island sister gems have been the vein of my creations and inspiration. I knew from an early age that photography was one of my mediums. I graduated from Brooks Institute in 2015 with a BFA. Santa Barbara is where I unfolded for 7 years, and I gained great tools and guidance there. Like when I worked at a lovely photo lab, Color Services. Here is where I enjoyed learning another side of photography and business.

After focusing on wedding photography for about a decade, along with diving into corporate photography for a moment... I had to take a break. Realign myself and my passion. My new focus is on portraiture that tells a story. Along with telling a story.

I've built a beautiful world in my mind, and it's based on dreams, which come to me in layers. The village behind me helps guide me. The layers unfold in ways that pull me closer to my home islands, Antigua and Barbuda. I wish for my pieces to invoke and reflect the dream-like imagery that I see in my mind.
